THE FOLLOWING WAS A CRAZE LAST SUMMER. NOW SOME OF THE CREW HAVE CARS, BIKES SEEM TO HAVE TAKEN A BACK SEAT, BUT WE ALL REMEMBER THE SUMMER OF 2003 AND THE MANY MANY BIKES WE KILLED!

In the summer of that year, Jonny and Jamie were walking home from a mates house when Jonny spotted a bike wheel in a skip. The next day he was sporting a pretty cool looking FREE BMX, and the craze of skip bikes began!

Next came Jamies Peugeot ladies racer. Sure the brake cables were hanging off, but hey! Jamie went round on it for a week and we decided to smash it, and it was fun, so...
Then came the Falcon. This was another Racer and as stu had lost his mountain bike the week before, provided an ideal method of transportation. Bought off Jonny for 1.20, the falcon had a month of good service before becoming our next kill.

Then the legends began to crop up! A walk home one night yielded the "POPPY" a crap red shopper bike that stu rode around on for about six months!

The latest find was the "Sonnet". Rescued from behind a chip shop, Jamie proceded to strip off just about all components other than the wheels. He rode around on it for about a week before smashing it down stoney road.
To name the rest would take all day, but if you see a lonesome bike wheel or pedal around weddington, you are probably looking at the remnents of our craze for destroying cycles of 2003!!

Below, The "POPPY" a true legend!

HOW TO GET SOME!
You too can have all the fun of an old bike just by looking out for them in skips. However, we must lay down ground rules for your own saftey.

Note: ignor everything in "speech marks"

"Always ask permission before taking bikes out of skips"

"Never `gostie` bikes in to kerbs, this is extremley funny, but irrisponsable"

"Never dump smashed bikes, cos its not really a bitch to drag home a bike frame!"

REST IN PEACE "ladies racer, falcon, mini scooter, GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.
